Many people, mainly parents, want(ed) to challenge her books because of the strong topics that are heavily talked about in them. Why take away a book from someone who may really benefit from it because it was offensive to ONE person? Like in the book " The Absolutely True Diary of a Part-Time Indian" many people found that novel very comforting because it related to what they were going through and made them feel like they were not alone. Just because someone else finds some themes or materials offensive in a book does not mean another person will. I believe that we should have the right to read whatever book we want to. I am against the thought that someone can think a book is so " inappropriate" that no one else should be able to read it. I am against censorship and the banning of books.
